Ron Barmore
Ron will lead the renewable energy project development efforts of the company. Ron has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Iowa and spent the first twelve years of his career in a variety of accounting and financial management positions with one of the companies that pioneered the renewable energy industry in the U.S., Wheelabrator Technologies. Since then, Ron has developed a diversified and extensive project development resume.
Prior to joining the Energy Launch team, Ron was the Director of Project Development at Range Fuels, one of the first advanced biofuels companies in the Country. At Range Fuels, Ron was responsible for managing the company’s efforts in the identification and development of its projects. The primary responsibilities of Project Development include project siting, infrastructure development, negotiations with utility providers, negotiation of state and local incentives, management of environmental permitting, and the negotiation of the feedstock supply and product sales agreements. Responsibilities also include a significant role interfacing with local, state and federal legislators, policy makers and industry advocates on numerous issues of importance to the industry.
Prior to joining Range Fuels, Ron served as Senior VP of Business Development at Barlow Projects, an emerging WtE (waste to energy) organization where he was responsible for the marketing and business development efforts of the company, including identification and screening of new business opportunities, development of those opportunities into viable sales prospects, negotiation of complex construction and operations contracts and the maintenance of the client relationship. He also spent five years as a Senior Project Developer with Combustion Engineering, also in the WtE field.
Ron is active in Georgia’s Pine2Energy Coalition, has served as an industry representative on the Georgia Lt. Governor’s Trade Mission to Brazil in 2008, and has participated in numerous forest and biomass policy dialogue groups interested in the sustainable development of renewable energy industries in the Southeast.

Energy Launch Developments is:
1. A project development company in the business of providing all manner of project development services necessary to locate, develop, permit, finance and possibly own and operate renewable fuels energy projects on behalf of itself or its clients. Projects include, but are not limited to, biomass feedstock/fuel upgrading projects, renewable fuels based Combined Heat and Power (CH&P) projects, renewable fuels based power projects, renewable fuels based biofuels production projects and projects that are based upon the recovery and re-use of waste heat resources.
2. A systems supplier and integrator of products and systems that have been developed in the more advanced renewable energy markets in Europe and elsewhere to enhance productivity, accuracy and efficiency and are licensed for the North American market by Energy Launch Partners.
Successful project development requires a blend of proven technology, trustworthy and experienced project stakeholders and equitable contracts synthesized in such a way to create a project that is built on proven technology, sound economics and realistic performance assumptions. The experienced leadership of Energy Launch Developments has demonstrated its ability to create and manage projects that can meet all the requirements of a “good project,” and that’s an absolute necessity in today’s challenging environment.
Energy project development is an expensive and time consuming process. We believe in a “stage gate” approach to project development that manages risk by first establishing, through a feasibility/viability effort, whether or not the project can meet a pre-established set of conditions that define success. Once a project is considered feasible, a set of key milestones is agreed upon, and a budget and schedule is established. These threshold conditions are monitored and re-evaluated at each milestone, and overall project viability is constantly being measured. Using this measured approach, we are constantly asking ourselves and our partners the hard questions and measuring progress. Not all projects prove out, and this approach will minimize the risks taken and adjust as conditions warrant.
Energy Launch Developments has the experience and resources to identify the appropriate technologies, develop the supply chain, negotiate the energy contracts and manage the location, permitting, development, and financing of renewable energy projects in a cost effective and responsible manner to minimize project risk and maximize project rewards.
